POVERTY BAY CLUB. * ' HANDICAP TOURNAMENT. More than usual interest attached to play on the local rinks on Saturday afternoon by reason of the fact that the first round of the Handicap Tournament was taking place. The weather was beautifully fine, and the links in good order, and it is not surprising, therefore, that some really good rounds were put in. The results were as follow: A Grade. F. W. P. Keiha was in something like his old form, and accounted for G. W. Willock ,the champion of the club, by 3 up and 2 to play. The games between W. Gibson (6) and J. B. Broadhurst (9), W. H. Irvine (6) and E. M. Hutchinson (6), and G. Grant (14) and F. T. Morgan (13), have still to be played, and must be got off before next Saturday. B Grade.
