NOTES. , The s.s. Kaitangata left early last evening for Napier direct, the'Kiritona having taken her c-eal for Tokomaru Bay. The Union Co’s steamer Mokoia left Wellington for Napier yesterday, and is therefore not due here until Thursday. For the present, one launch is announced for 6 a.m- to-morrow. The Union Co’s steamer Tarawera left Auckland for Gisborne at 4.20 p.m. yesterday, and is due this afternoon. She will be tendered on arrival and at 7 p.m. The following have booked for Gisborne: —Misses Hayward, Goring, Mumford, Brown, Mesdames Brown and Briffeult, Messrs Spence, Chalmers, Steele, Gresham, Beere, Aickin, Wallis, Instone, Baynall, Gallop, Muir, Brown. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo, with a fair load of cargo, left last night for Auckland via Coast bays. The small steamer Kahu is due today with timber from Tauranga, and returns with an old locomotive and some trucks for the railway works. Good progress is being made with the loading <sf the Shaw, Savill liner Zealandic, and it is anticipated that she will leave for Napier to-night. The Red Funnel -steamer Squall is due to-day from Auckland via Tologa Bay. ~ The liner Orari sailed from Napier last evening for London via Monte Video and Tereriffe.
