THE WEATHER.
GISBORNE TIMES OFFICE
The following are the readings of the barometer in our" office, taken at 2 i.m. each day:—
GOVERNMENT METEOROLOGIST'S REPORT. Present indications are for a further decrease in barometric pressure northward of Westport and Kaikonra, but a rapid rise will probably follow in about 24 hours. Winds will be variable and strong to gale, westerlies prevailing and veering to southerly northward of New Plymouth and Napier and northerlies backing to a south-easterly gale elsewhere. Heavy rain is probable generally with snow on the higher levels and much colder weather following soon.
