PERSONAL NOTES.
Mr. J. P. Williamson has consented to stand for the vacancy'on the Napier Borough Council (says our correspondent). Mr. Atkins, of TVellington. who i« architect to the Cook H. and C._ ABoard, will visit Gisborne next Mennesday. Mr- Reed, a Bank of New Zealand official, arrived at Gisborne on Saturday on transfer from Palmerston North. At the conclusion of the Waikohu dojr trials, .the secretary of the club, Mr L. H. McLean, tendered his resignation. On Saturday evening Mr. McLean was presented by members of the c-lub with a handsome' dressingcase, suitably inscribed, as a. memento of his valuable services- - Regret was expressed at the less of Mr. McLean s services, and he was described as an ideal secretary, stress being laid on the fact that at < the conclusion cf his two years as secretary lie had handed to Iris successor, Mr. H. L. Redmond, a credit- balance of over £7O.
