The Union Co’s coastal steamer Squall brought the following cargo from the : North: —270 bags sugar, 1440 bags cement, 100 bags salt, 16 sacks sugar, 33G sacks coal, 5 sacks rolled oats, 30 sacks flour. 50 cases candles, IS cases iron, 5 cases tea, 20 cases beer, 45 rolls paper, 85 pipes, 79 iron pipes, 94 casks oil, 59 drums oil, 10 casks molasses, 240 pieces timber; and a quantity of sundries, including transhipments ex Waihora, Delphic, Zealandic, Star of Canada,, Nairnshire and Star of India. The Union Co’s Tarawera is due from the south this morning, and will be tendered at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The steamer Hippie is due from Napier this morning, being a day late on the trip. Willi a cargo of timber, the topsail schooner Isabella de Fraine arrived yesterday from Tauranga. The Tyser Co.’s steanier otar of India left Wellington for Gisborne at 0.45 a.m. yesterday, and is due to arrive to-day. The Union Company’s steamer ITanpiri arrived from Auckland yesterday morning with shipments from the Delphic and left at night for Napier and Pic ton. • The Shaw Cavil I steamer Tainui finished loading and sailed for Auckland at 10 o’clock last night.
