Co’s Ivowhai arrived from the south yesterday morning with 400 tons of general cargo and 40,000 ft. of timber. She leaves for Westport and Greymouth to-day to load coal for Oneliunga. Messrs Richardson and Co’s Kahn arrived from Tauranga yesterday morning with timber. The Union S. S. Co’s Mokoia, which is a day late in her running, was expected to leave Wellington last night for Napier and Gisborne. She comes on here as soon as possible, and in the meantime one launch is fixed for tomorrow morning at G o’clock. The Union S. S. Co’s Tarawera, which left Auckland at 3.40 p.m. yesterday, arrives here this afternoon, and will be tendered as,usual. The Westport Coal Co’s Ilegulus arrived from Westport last evening with a cargo of coal. She left "Westport on Friday, hut had to shelter at Wellington on a count of bad weather. The Tvser Co’s Star of India, which put out to sea on Saturday morning owing to rough weather, returned to the Bay yesterday to complete her Home loading. The Ihumata. with coal from Newcastle. which has been sheltering >in the vicinity of Young Nick’s Head, came up to the wharf yesterday. She has 1270 tons of coal aboard for the Gasworks and the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat Co. The Ripple’s timetable has been interfered with through rough weather and she will not come to Gisborne this week. Her cargo for this port will be transhipped at Napier and brought on help by the Kahu. The Maorilaiul Steamship Co’s Holmdale is to load coal at Greymouth for Gisborne. She will afterwards go to the Great Barrier to load for Wellington. .> The Union 8. S. Co’s Whangape was to have left Melbourne for Sydney to load for Gisborne. The Union S. S. Co’s Squall left Auckland for Gisborne last evening.

It is reported by the Ruru that the Ripple, bound from Gisborne to Wellington, is sheltering at M angawehu. AUCKLAND, July 2.—Sailed at 3.40 p.m., Tarawera, and at 5.10"p.m. Squall both for Gisborne; at 7;20 p.m. Talune, for Rarotonga and Tahiti; at 5.25 p.m. Makufa, for Sydney. Arrived at 5.55 p.m., Anglo-Saxon, from Hobart. The Makufa, which arrived from Suva at 3 a.m.. brought the following passengers)—First class: Mesdames Boyd, Lodan, and Hyde, Messrs Rogers. Warren.
