fro the editor .) Sir,—l should like, through your columns to ask whether the subscribers to the Public Library in this town have any gav in the election of the committee. Two vacancies have lately occurred in it owing to the resignation of two members, upon leaving tlie district. May I ask who has been appointed in their place, and whether any opportunity was given to the subscribers to exercise the right, which I should think they must possess, of a voice in their election.—l am, etc., “A SUBSCRIBER.”
