According to a P.A. cable, Mr Joseph Chamberlain, who is in, London, was the recipient cf hundreds of congratulatory telegrams from all parts of the Empire on his 76th birthday. The tariff reformers are organisiiio- a shilling Chamberlain birthday fund For the post of agricultural instructor ,for the Scuth Canterbury School at a salary of £350 and travelling expenses, the Beard of Education selected .from forty applicants Mr. YY.
