Sir. Chan. Gilbert, an enthusiastic golfer, was a visiter to the local links on Thursday. His impressions of the course showed that it compares favorably with the majority on the West Coast, though perhaps hot so “sporty” as some of them. Mr. Gilbert is an expert in. all the details of Talking Machines ami Records, and comes from Wanganui to manage tho Gramophone department for-E. Chrisp and Son, at their Peel Street branch.*
