The New Zealand Federation of Labor received yesterday £6OO from Australia towards tlie fund for the Waihi and Reefton Miners’ Federation. They have also, been informed that the Newcastle miners have voted £2OO to the same fund, and are considering the matter of imposing a levy on miners. The Wonthaggi (Victoria) vote made the first donation of £45, and then struck a levy, while the Broken Hill miners, are paving a weeklv levy of 6d per head. The General Laborers’ Union of N.S.W. has voted £2O to the fund. Messrs. Hickey and Webb, the Federation delegates to Australia, ■write that thev are beino- well received in Labor circles in N.S.W.—P.A. Some people have a mania for advertising—Grieve, for instance.
