“A DEPLORABLE FAILURE.”
AUSTRALIA'S CRUSHING VICTORY. NEWSPAPER COMMENT. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT] (Received July 19, 12.55 a.m.) LONDON, July IS. The newspapers refer to the African’s deplorable failure and the Australians' crushing victory. The ‘ -Times” says that the Australians deserved to suffer far more for their blunders in the field, but afterwards completely outclassed the Afri-
cans. . ... ‘•'Sporting Life” says it is significant- that the Australians, though owing much to Kelleway and Bardslev, outplayed the Africans more obviously than England did.
A NOTEWORTHY PERFORMANCE.
