Miss Black resumes her duties as assistant at the Gisborne School on August 1.
Inspector York has been appointed to act as Public Health Officer for the Waikolm County.
Regimental Sergeant-Major Ritzema held am. instructional class at Te Karaka last night. Mr. AY. Morgan, one of the Gisborne representatives on the Education Board, spent yesterday at Ot-oko, for the purpose of inspecting the proposed school site. Messrs. A. Kaye (Christchurch) and A. S. Paterson (Dunedin) will represent the Government and their respective Chambers of Commerce at the Fifth International Congress of Commerce, to be held at Boston. Air D- E. Leslie, who is severing bis connection with the Gisborne, school staff in order to take up a position as second master at the Masterton District- High School, will leave Gisborne in a fortnight’s time. At last night’s meeting of the Gisborne School Committee great regret was expressed that be was leaving the staff.
