Miss Nancy Paibuit (Royal Sydney) was defeated m tho third round by Miss teacher (Nortn Bei wick).

Edward Ray, who last week won the open championship of the world :u Minefield,. with a score of 295 for .2 holes (Harry Yavdon, clntmpion for 1911, being runner-up with an aggregate of 299), is a tall man 6ft lin high, .weight 13.7, and somewhat resembles James Baird in appearance. Was third in the open championship in 1908, fourth in 1907 and 1911, and fifth in 1909 and 1910; finished second in French championship in 1911.- third in 1906, and fourth in 1907 • holds various records.
