• Present indications are for raw and unsettled weather generally, heavy rain over the orth Island and northeastern portion of the South Island especially; snow cn the higher levels and had showers in parts. Easterly to south-easterly winds strong to gale aro probable generally. A further decrease in 'barometer-ip pressure is expected before a rise due to take place by Saturday evening.
