THE RUGBY GAME. P.B. RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The usual weekly meeting of the management committee was held last evening, there being present Messrs. A. It. Gotland (chairman). J. A. Eaton, E- L Maude, R. Somervell, W. S. C-oleman, and D. Cowan (secretary). In connection with the new competition, it was decided to award caps to the winning team. Regarding a representative tour, if it is decided to go further afield than Hawke’s Bav, it was reported that very satisfactory arrangements have been made with the Manawatu Rugby Union, and that the local union are at present negotiating with Wellington. The following matches for this week were arran gcd : THURSDAY. St. Patrick’s v. Gisborne. SATURDAY. No 1 ground, Ivia Kali a, v- Turanganui. No. 2 ground, Huia v. Pirates. —Thirds, at 1.45. High School v. Garrison. —Schools..— Gisborne v. Mangapapa, No. 1, at 945. Te Hapara v. Kaiti, No. 1. at 11. Makara'ka v. Convent, No. 2, at 11.
Captains of teams must eoe to the distributing of players’ tic kets, whic h arc left at Miller’s every Tuesday morning.
