The following are the readings of the oarometer "in our office, taken at 2 a.m. each day:—
GOVERNMENT METEOROLOGIST’S REPORT. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Present are for a falling barometer' everywhere, with increasing cloudiness and rain .probable generally, with snow on the higher levels n tne south. Winds will probably .change to northerly and westerly in most of the north country, and will increase to strong to a gale. Conditions are likely to prove stormy southward of Kawhia and Castle Point, and the winds will veer lor strong southerlies about Saturday night or Sunday morning.
