TERRIBLE MINING DISASTER.
A GERMAN TRAGEDY. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] BERLIN, August 8. An explosion of firedamp entombed more than 100 men in Sothringen colliery at Bochum. Sixty-five have keen saved, and sixteen persons were severely injured. Twenty-five bodies have been recovered, but others have been burnt, as the colliery is afire. 103 KILLED. (Received August 9, 10.10 p.m-) BERLIN, August 9. There were 050 in the pit. One hundred and three were killed and 20 dangerously injured. There were two explosions of fire damp and ©oaldust- followed by a fire. It is feared that 20 are still entombed .
