A PROMISING BALANCE SHEET. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON N., Aug. 13. The balance sheet of the New Zealand Farmers’ Dairy Union states that the quantity of butter made during tlio year was 652 tons, 19cwt, and cheese 2221 tons. New cheese factories are being erected at Tokomaru and Newman. The butter-manufacturing account shows that £68,959 123 6d has been paid for lmtter-fat during the season, an increase of £5122 over last year’s payments. Local sales of butter amounted to £24,300, and London sales £45,895.
