QUICK WORK.
One of tlio quickest marriages after divoice on record is that of Mr. 0. S. Turner, the copper millionaire, who, divorced at Reno, . Nevada, early in the afternoon, married Miss Maude Jackson, society lady' of New York, at 6 p.m. the same day. Owing to the prominence of the parties the case has attracted considerable attention in the States. The divorce was obtained on the slightest grounds. Mr Turner’s former wife discovered, quite accidentally, that her husband was paying attentions to Miss Jackson, and immediately took steps for the separation. The discovery, it is stated, was made through a florist’s mistake in sending a bill for the weekly supply of oreliids to Mr Turner’s bouse instead of to bis office. The bill, which was for several weeks, was for £4OO.
