HOCKEY.
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee was held last evening in the Gisborne Hotel. Mr W. Ogilvie was in the chair. A letter was received from the Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Association in regard to the billeting of the representative team. —The matter was left to the secretary to attend to. The Kowhai Ladies’ Club wrote forwarding -£3 3s towards the fund to assist the ladies’ representative team. —A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Kowhai Club 'for its generous donation. It was decided to hold the local sevon-a-side tournament on Thursday, j 29th inst. on Victoria Domain. A j vote of thanks was passed to the j Rugby Union for generously granting ; the grounds and also for allowing the Association the full amount of the . gate money. i Following are the matches for Thursday: City v. Civil on Domain, j West End v. To Ran on Reserve No. j 1, Ladies' practice on Reserve. j Saturday’matches were arranged: Ladies practice, Mercantile v. West End.
