NASTY BUSH SMASH. £>ER press ASSOCIATION 1 AA’OODA’ILLE, Aug. 27. A settlor named Hooper, living on AVharetai, met with a frightful accident this afternoon. He was assisting Air Boaglet 7 , a neighbor, in hushfelling when a- large tree came down on him, pinning him to the gvnind. Before assistance came he was unconscious. It took some time to lift the tree, and then ho was carried to Air J. H. Escott’s house on AVharetai. The messenger who came into AA'oodville for a doctor said he feared that both legs were broken and that the man was badly crushed internally. A motor car and doctor were sent out.
