He is the first sire, I believe, in the Poverty Bay district to produce a classical winner. Being sired by that great horse Multiform, the winner of £7380 in stakes, and his dam lleriot being by that great horse Grafton (one oi' the most successful sires imported to Australia) should speak for itself as regards the breeding of racehorses. Multifid’s own performances on the turf are too well known to retnure mentioning, as he has won races ever all distances on most of the courses in the Dominion.
