THE DEATH OF GENERAL BOOTH HUGE SERVICE AT OLYMPIA. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT] (Received Aug. 29, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 29. . There were 20,000 at the Olympia memorial service. .Wreaths surrounded the late General Booth’s portrait in front of the platform. The King and Queen Alexandra were specially represented, and tlie Commonwealth was represented by Captain Collins. The flag which General Booth unfurled on Calvary preceded tho coffin as it was borne to the foot of the platform. The chief mourners were General Biamwell Booth and his wife, Heiberg, Catharine, Alary, and Miriam Booth and other relatives. The"dominant characteristic of the service was joyous in that God would triumph. Songs of praise, prayers and scripture reading alternated impressively for two hours. The remains- were conveyed to the Army’s headquarters to await tlie funeral.
