Frau Gertrud Lowy, a Berlin lady, was accidentally shot dead at a dance in an hotel at the Baltic seaside resort of Bansin. The lady, while dancing noticed that her partner had a Browning pistol in his pocket, and, afterwards, when sitting at a table, she insisted) on examining it. Her partner handed it over, warning her that it was loaded. The same instant a shot brought the dance to a standstill. Frau Lowy having fallen dead.
