WEDDINGS

BOLLOCK —BARK KB. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends at the very pretty wedding at >t. Andrew’s Bresbytorian dum b on Wednesday of Miss E. Barker, of Gladstone Read: and Mr J. Bollock, of Childers Road (both wellknown in Gisborne). Rev. M . Grant officiated.

Tile bride looked charming in a handsome dress of cream duchess satin trimmed with Honarton lace ;TU<l pearl trimming with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, carrying a lovely bouquet, and was given away by lier brother-in-law. .Mr K. Clark, of Auckland. Mr G. Pollock was best man. Mr K. Parker groomsman, and the bridesmaids were Misses N. Culpitt. of Auckland, and Miss Johnston, of Derbv Street-, and two little maids, Shirley '.\icholl- and Gladys Halford. Tim- bridesmaids wore charming frocks pink pa i let to with overdress <>t pink ninon trimmed with point lace, and handsome, black hat with lancer -plume, carrying shower bouquets, lhe little maids’ drosses were dainty pale bine silk and pearl julietie caps, carrying baskets of flowers with blue .streamers. The gifts to the bridesmaids were ruby and diamond brooches and to the little maids gold bangles. • The party, after the ceremony, adjourned to W notions tea. rooms, whore the wedding breakfast was daintily set out and heartily partaken of. The repast being over a number of toasts were duly honored. “The- Bride.” i\a’s proposed by Rev. Blair, AFate. where, and responded to by the bridegroom: “1 he Bridesmaids;,” was proposed bv Mr M. Lewis and responded to by Mr G. Pollock-. “The Ladies”, proposed by Air k. .Parker, responded to by Air J. Balgety : “The Hostess,” proposed by Air J. Bollock, responded to by Air L. Clark; •■Tho Bridegroom and Family' proposed bv Air .J. J. Aiavtin, supported by Air Alor.se on behalf of the football clubs and .sports generally, responded to bv Air (1. Pollock. Tlic lovely day added to the gaiety of the occasion. .Some of the dresses worn were (piite charming. 'the bride’s mother wore black silk, the bridegroom's mother, grey costume and lrit to match. Airs K. Clark, tho bride's sister, wore a pretty grey dress with oriental trimming, black and white hat. Other guests were : . Ah's. Gartshore, grey costume. witu bat to match. Airs A. Pollock, brown costume. Airs Fergusscn, navy blue costume. Airs Robertson, navy blue costume. Airs Nicholls, dainty pink silk, oriental trimming, velvet hat. Airs Johnston, pretty blue dress with Moral togne to match. The Pride’s travelling dress was navy blue costume, black and white picture bat. The newly-married couple left for Auckland via Napier amid showers ox rice from well wishers. The wedding presents were numerous, handsome, and of great vanetv.
