THE ORIGIN OF LIFE
PROFESSOR SCHAFER’S OPINIONS DISAGREED WITH. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT] (Received Sept. 14, 12..‘10 a. nr.') SYDNEY, Sept, 13. Professor Harrell disagrees with Professor Schafer’s opinions in regard to the origin of life and states that as far as experience extends the living thing originates only in the living thing. We know nothing about the physical and chemical agencies whereby tho most essential processes of life are carried on, but they are totally unlike anything operating in the sphere of non-living matter.
