A cock-fighting meeting at Duncirum, which attracted large numbers of “sports” in motor-care, cabs, and on bicycles to the neighborhood, was checked in its initial stages by a police inspector and two constables'. The fight, which was proceeding in a secluded corner of private grounds, wax abandoned, and the spectators and backers- fled, leaving only the ring, some feathers, and a dying bird.
