SECTARIAN RIOTS AT THE SHIPYARDS.
SOLDIERS SENT TO HARLAND AND WOLFFS.
[UNITED PBESP ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT! LONDON, Sept. 16. As a, result of the football riot many of Harland and Wolff’s workers are afraid to resume work.
Sectarian fighting at the shipyards commenced at breakfast time. Several men were badly mauled, and one man was removed to the hospital in an unconscious condition. One hundred soldiers have been sent to the works. The referee of the Belfast match believes the riot was deliberately organised. The rioters wrecked the dressingrooms, but did not molest the officials.
