Messrs Richardson and .steamer Kahu arrived yesterday morning with a cargo of chart' from Picton, and left in the afternoon for the Coast. The Haupiri was sheltering at Hicks’ Bay on Sunday, and is due here this week. To-morrow’s steamers due are the Mokoia from the South and the Tarawera from the North. The Wanaka is due here on about October 6. .The West nor t Coal Co’s steamer Regulus left Westport for Gisborne at 4.25 . p.m. yesterday. The s.s. Ivowhai is being delayed at Greymouth, several vessels being barbound since Thursday last.
