TRAINER'S EXTRAORDINARY STATEMENTS. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] (Received Sept. 26, 10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Sept. 20. In the case where the owner of the pony Ladylike is claiming £SOOO damages from John Wre nil for alleged libel and the detention of the pony, the trainer of Ladylike admitted that he had been over 20 times disqualified, giving as bis reason because he did what his owners told him. Questioned about a race where three horses started and all pulled up and walked home, he said it looked as if all received instructions not to win’.
