JEAYS FILLING UP PALESTINE
[INDEPENDENT PRESS CABLE] LONDON, Sept, 27. It is estimated that the Jewish inhabitants of Palestine to-day is half of the total population, and that it is rapidly increasing. Tho returned people are slowly acquiring land, and taking their place in the- field of commercial production, and they arc placing the Aloslems and Christians in the country on a footing of economic independence.
