HOW THE (MONEYS ARE TO BE
DIVIDED
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. Under the general scheme of administration of the moneys of the McCarthy estate every institution foiwarding an application _ for a grant must supply the following information: —1. A short report ( explaining the objects of the institution. 2. The number of inmates or students, together with available accommodation for same, in the institution. 3. Ihc annual report (if any) for tbo past year, with the names of the committee and staff. 4. The area which the institution provides for. 5. The bal-ance-sheet and accounts for institution, showing (a) receipts, bow derived, whether subsidised by the State or otherwise; payments by patients, students, or persons relieved; endowments. how invested ; regular subscriptions; contributions, funds from, entertainments, and capital sums raised, (b) Expenditure, capital expenditure distinguished from income expenditure, outlay on management and staff as distinguished from current expenditure; full details of current- expenditure ; average cost per head of persons receiving benefit, (c) Particulars of auditing. On receipt of the information set out in the foregoing the institution applying for a grant will be visited, if thought advisable, by a representative ol the. trustees. The scheme has been really evolved by His Excellency the Governor, who is chairman of the board of trustees.
