ALBANIAN VILLAGES ABLAZE
MONTENEGRINS’ HOT ATTACK. AUSTRIAN STEAMER FIRED ON. VIENNA, Oct. 10. The Albanian villages northward of Bojana river are ablaze. Numerous Albanians sought refuge at. Scutari, hut the Montenegrins fired rifles at them for upwards of an hour. An Austrian steamer, proceeding from Bojana to Cattaro, was likewise fired on. Count Berchtold, in thanking tho Hungarian delegations for the vote of confidence, said the monarchy had associated itself with the Great Powers to preserve the status <juo in the Balkan States, where Austria had vital interests which it was determined to preserve. The army is angry at the Cabinet’s acceptance of the reforms of ISSd. Meetings of protest have been held. The enthusiasm in support of war in Albania is immense. The leaders state they -have 100,000 men, and are able to defeat the Servians and Montenegrins alone.
