Almont holds the threemile world’s record of 6rnin 50sec, and has taken many prizes in the show ring, including champion at the Sydney Show. One of his sons recentlv brought 600 guineas in Melbourne. His body is faultless, and his leg.s clean, with large bone, while his feet are of the best. He was bred by Sir Geo. Clifford, and proved himself a good racehorse. His performances include: First Thompson Handicap (Wellington), first Jockey Club Handicap (Canterbury), and other valuable events.
