PATHE PICTURES

An important announcement by the Pathe Picture management is made in the advertising columns of this issue, which should prove pleasant reading to local theatre-goers. Dining the past week, the interior of His Majesty’s Theatre lias been transformed by the extensive alterations which have been earned out in record time. The changes effected all make for the comfort and convenience of j patrons, and make the theatre one of the best-appointed picture palaces in the Dominion. A most progressive policy is foreshadowed by the management. During the next seven days, it is claimed, they will establish a record by presenting to the public of Gisborne the greatest series of star programmes ever shown in New Zealand. Complete changes of programme will he made on I riday, Saturday, and Monday nights, when something of quite a sensational nature will be submitted. A special star subject will be featured each evening, and these films are of a class which stand out by themselves. Tomorrow night the outstanding feature of the new will be resumed is a. remarkable North American Indian romance, “The Frontier Child,” which is full of the spice of adventure, and abounds in soul-stir-ring episodes. A fierce attack by the Indians on a fort, and their gallant repulse and rout furnishes plenty oi excitement and wonderful happenings, while interwoven throughout the story is a delightful love A fine' Pathe colored drama, “The Lock,” and a powerful Vita-graph play, “An Innocent Theft.” are among the strong series which will make°its appearance to-morrow evening. Theatre-goers will look forward with pleasurable expectation to the entertainment to be provided in His Majesty’s throughout the coming week.
