CLOSING SESSION

[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 24

The closing session of the Baptist Conference was held this morning. The Missionary budget for the year, dealing with 'the society’s stations in i’iniierah, East Bengal, was brought up. The president (Mr. Fraser) occupied the chair, and associated with him were the following officers of the missionary society: Rev. J. K. Archer (general secretary), Air. H. H. Driver (minute secretary), and Air. A. Hoby (treasurer). The Alissionary Budget, based upon last year’s financing, was outlined, and business proposals involving tho sum of £3024 were'adopted. It was decided to recommend ministers to call special attention to the centenary and Dr. Adoniram Alason’s arrival at Rangoon in July, 1913. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded Rev. F. MacDonald for, the missionary sermon, and Rev. T. Keith Ewen for the union sermon. On the. *- motion of Rev. Alfred North, seconded by Rev. C. Dallaston, hearty greetings were passed to- Rev. Chas.' Garter, senior, New Zealand minister.
