CAPTAIN SCOTT’S POLAR EXPEDITION.
TERRA NOVA'S RETURN VOYAGE
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM]
CHRISTCHUR CHT, Oct. 31. Commander Evans, of the British Antarctic expedition, in the course of an interview, stated that all relief stores to be taken south are being sent out from England by a New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer, due at Lyttelton about the end of. November. The Terra Nova will take a full year’s stores and supplies in ease slie is detained in the Antarctic. The actual date of sailing from Lyttelton will depend upon arrangements to be made by Lieutenant Pennell and Mr D. G. Lillie, regarding some important biological work which has "been planned.
In all probability the Terra Nova will return to New Zealand a little earlier than previously arranged, and will be back at Lyttelton by the end of March next year.
