The police crossed the harbor, and knowing that Huston was in the vicinity watched by. Huston eventually appeared and accepted a boat-man’s ferry across. On disembarkation he was promptly pounced upon by Detective Hollis and Constable Douglas.

Moore proceeded in a special launch to Marsilen Point, and on his arrival at AYhaugarei a large crowd gathered at the wharf to catch a glimpse of Huston. This was anticipated by Sergt. Moore, who brought the launch up a side creek and took the prisoner tlie back way to the cells. Huston appeared very weak and footsore, evolving the sympathy of the onlookers by bis dejected appearance. Elaborate precautions have been taken to keep him in custody.
