The Marconi and Telefunken companies have agreed to sink their differences and to act- jointly to secure their rights and protect their patents. .JjTelefun'ken is the system which rivals the Marconi invention, and there lias been some discussion as to the rival.merits of the two systems. The Australian rights are held by the Australian Wireless Ltd. In' the •House of Commons the other evening the Postmaster-General, Turs. Samuel) tabled a motion for. the appointment of a committee to investigate the circumstances attending the Marconi Company’s agreement in connection with the establishment of Imperial wireless l stations. The PostmasterGeneral. the Attorney-General (Sir Rums Isaacs), and the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Lloyd George) indignantly repudiated the charge that there had been traffic in the company’s shares. Lord Hugh Cecil said lie was convinced that the charges were nothing but the malignant growth of diseased imagination. The motion was adopted.
