SOLICITOR-GENERAL TO VISIT ENGLAND. v

WELLINGTON, Nov. 4
Mr J. W. Salmond (Solicitor-Gene-ral) is to leave for London on Friday to represent New Zealand before a special tribunal which has been set up to deal with the long-standing Webster claim. The claim is one for £500,000 and was made originally by an American whaler who settled in the country years ago and whose successors claim to he possessors of. land now owned by the Grown. The lands are in the Auckland province. The Solicitor-General will be away from New Zealand for about six months..
