'Present indications are for cloudy and misty weather, with heavy rain in parts and rivers rising. Snow is probable, on the higher levels in the South. High westerly winds are probable northwards of Farewell Spit mid Castle Point and southerlies and south-easterlies elsewhere. The barometer is dno to rise temporarily in the southern districts, hut will fall again shortly.
