HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] WELLINGTON, Nov. 11
The High Commisioner’s cable, dated London, November 9, states: “The mutton market is quiet but holders are firm. Canterbury 41 d, North Island 4gd. The lamb market is steady and prices are well maintained. Canterbury ssd, other than Canterbury, 5 ’ t d. The market is dull with a large supply of Irish beef. New Zealand hindquarters 3«d, forequarters 2§. The butter market is quiet, with a t.end u cncy to favor buyers, but is rather unsettled. The average price for the week for choicest New Zealand is 121 s, Australian 117 s. Argentine 117 s, Danish 128 s, Siberian 109 s. The cheese market is very firm. On spot, New Zealand good to fair £35, fair grade £33 10s, forward shipment about the same price; on spot, fair current Manila, £35; January to March, fair current Manila, £36. The output from Manila for the week was 1900 bales.
