WEDDING.

THOMPSON —DICKERSON

A quiet marriage was solemnised by' Rev. Dawson Thomas at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday afternoon, the contracting parties being Miss May Dickerson, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Dickerson, and Mr 11. W. Thompson, of Otoko. The bride, who was given away by Mr W. Ansell, looked smart in a navy tailored costume with hat en suite. She carried a lovely shower bouquet of white roses and carnations, with maidenhair ferns. She was attended by Miss Annie Fryer, as bridesmaid, in a pretty grey velvet gown, with white lace hat trimmed with pink satin ribbon and rosebuds. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. Mr 11. V. Archibald .supported the bridegroom as best man.

The bridegroom’s present to the bride was an ivory-bound prayer'book, and to the bridesmaid a pretty green and gold brooch. The bride’s, present to the bridegroom was', a gold pendant. After the cecemony a reception was held at the Alexander Tea Rooms, about 40 guests being present. The bride’s mother received the guests in'a handsome black silk gown with black and silver toque. Amongst the many presents received was a handsome dinner service from members of the Rechqbites Lodge and a beautiful silver cake basket from members of the Theosophical Society. The newly married couple left by the afternoon train for Otoko, their future home,- carrying with them the good wishes of numerous friends. '
