ALHAMBRA v. KIA KAMA. The Thursday competition was continued at Victoria Domain yesterday afternoon, when the above clubs met, the game ending in a draw. Alhambra won the toss, and decided to bat. A very Door start was made, five wickets being down for 18 runs. A timely stand by Olsen and Sim stopped the rot, and took the score from 32 to 89. The innings eventually closed for 142, of which Olsen scored, no less than 82, not out, by fine cricket. J. 11. Jones bowled remarkably well for Kia Kaha, sending down nineteen over for 22 runs, and securing six wickets. Grant secured two for 12 off fotw over, and mightwith advantage have been kept on longer. The Kia Kaha employed seven bowlers, the majority oft whom were freely punished. With an hour to bat, the Kia Kaha men went at the bowling resolutely, and at drawing of stumps had hit up 118 for the loss of four wickets. Ralph Grant played a particularly fine innings for 81, included in which were j thirteen boundaries. Greene, with 20, was the next highest scorer.
