LITTLE MATA WAI BOYIS NARROW ESCAPE. [BY TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT] MATAWAI. Nov. 14. The little two-vcar-old hoy of Air. John McKenzie’s had a narrow escape from a- fatal drowning accident on Alonday afternoon last. Airs. AlcKenzie, who was visiting Airs. Armstrong, leff-the child playing in the hall, and the children on coming home from school left the front door open, allowing the little hoy to wander out. On missing the child shortly afterwards,' a search resulting in finding the little one floating in the creek between tire homesteads, of Alessrs. Armstrong and AlcKenzie’s. After persevering with artificial means for an hour, Air. Horton succeeded in restoring natural respiration.
