Co’s Mokoia arrived from the South early yesterday morning and left for Auckland at 1 p.m. The turbulent state of the seas made lighterage a difficult matter. The Union S. S. Go's Tarawera passed the East 'Cape at 1.50 p.m. yesterday, and arrived at Tologa Bay at 6.30 p.m., after a very rough passage. She came on to Gisborne and arrived here at midnight,, and will be tendered at 6 a.m. to-day. The following passengers have booked to sail by the Tarawera this morning for the South: Misses Pufiett and Mollardy; Mesdames E. Williams, McHardy, Coblett, King: Rev. Dawson, Messrs It. McKenzie, Drummond, Fordham, Millikin, Eielielbaum, Mead, Sharpin, Allen, Carey, Corbridgo, Johansen, Preston, Stratford, A. E. Noilson, Lahanan, Martin, Findlay, 11. B. Williams, T. E. Fisher, Gatland, Feilder, McVey, Aickin, Sinclair, King, Coblett, and Smith. The schooner Awanui is oxpocted to leavo to-day for Whangaparapara to load timber. It is probable that the topsail schooner Amelia Sims will sail to-night for Havelock. (The s.s. Red Pine was to sail at 3.30 a.m. to-day for Greymouth. The Union Co’s s.s.
