THE BATTLE OF TCHATALDJA.

MR. DONOHOE CONTINUES HIS STORY. FINE BULGARIAN ARTILLERY FIRE. (Received Nov. 21, 10.50 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 21. Mr Donohoe, continuing his story, says the Bulgarians, under cover of the darkness on Saturday,, pushed their infantry forward to within striking distance of the Turkish loft. Hero the Bulgarians dug themselves iuto cover and hold on, firing in the face of a heavy Turkish fire. Tho Bulgarian artillery burst their shells with line precision over the Turkish redoubts, entailing heavy loss. While one section shelled the redoubts another, sought to destroy the Turkish infantry reserves, a favorite Bulgarian manoeuvre which was brilliantly successful at Lule Burgas.

One redoubt was smothered with shell tire, six shrapnell bursting simultaneously. It was impossible’ to judge the success of the Turkish fire owing to the haze enveloping the valley. Several warships on Lake Bujukehekmedje pounded at the Bulgarians on the heights, and several shells struck a - village, which burst into flames.

While the Bulgarians were shelling the redoubts the Turks wore dying like flies from cholera and dysentry. anti the rear of the Army was dotted with isolation camps, where stricken soldiers, foodless and waterless, and without medical attendance, implored Allah to end their sufferings. A few fatigue parties dug shallow graves contiguous to the tents, and the living buried a percenatge of -the dead.
