[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT] (Received Nov. 25, 9 p.m.) ' SYDNEY, Nov. 2-5. At the adjourned inquest on the body of Bartholomew, the police investigations failed to produce fresh material evidence. A doctor deposed that the fatal shot was fired by a revolver pressed to the breast. A verdict of suicide was returned.
["A body with a bullet wound in the chest was found on the rocks near Bondi.. It was identified as that of Frederick Charles Bartholomew, aged 20, a native of Ireland, who arrived from New Zealand a fortnight previously. No firearm was discovered. It Is said that Bartholomew had a considerable sum of money, but his pockets were empty. A mysterious entry in the pocket book stated: “John Polig, left Berlin January, 1912; arrived Sydney August 12, 1912.” It is unknown to whom it refers or how the book came into Bartholomew’s possession.]
