GISBORNE CLUB. Tlie races for Busokc’s and Pottie’s medals neve continued on the Waimata course last evening. In the A. grade McConville (stroke), Donovan (3), Wyllie (2), and Sweet •(bow) beat Coleman (stroke), Fraser, Kaeats and Maynard by over a length, and Cowan's crew forfeited to Pyeroft. In the B. grade Pollock (stroke), Solvander (3), Sargisson (2) and Henmessy (bow) defeated Smith (stroke), Dnn?an, Davis and deC-ent by a length. In this race Pollock’s stretcher came out near Adair’s and he was forced to row from there using only one hand. In the other B. grade race O’Brien (stroke), Porter (3), Peters (2), and Nisbett (how) defeated Faram (stroke) Church, Milne and Smart rather comfortably by well over a length. The * races will be continued this evening, when in the A. grade Langridge (stroke), Hudson (3), Stevenson (2), and Fyson (bow) meet Gerrard (stroke), Parsons (3), Haultain (2), and Quigley (bow). In the B. grade Moor# (stroke), Dudson, Young and McLaughlan (bow) meet Winter (stroke). McColl, Coates, and Mossop, and Hamilton (stroke), Gallen, Sprague and Gumming meet R. Miller (stroke), H. Davis, Mackie and Fleming. • Some interesting races are expected.
