SQUADRON ORDERS.

TOE MOUNTED RIFLES

The following squadron orders have been issued by Major. C. Hellier Evans, commanding A Squadron and Te Kar.aka Troop of D Squadron, 9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles :

COMPULSORY PARADES FOR DECEMBER, 1912.

“A” Squadron.—Mounted, at 2 .46 p.m. (half-day parades) ; Nos. 1 and 2 Troops, at Witlan’s (Matoki Road), on Saturday, 14th December, 1912; Nos. 3 and 4 Troops, at Plowman’s Corner, Ormond (Wliataupoko), and Kia Ora Factory roads, on Saturday, 7th December, 1912. “D” Squadron (Te Tlaraka Troop). —Mounted, at 10 a.m., at Old Homestead, Puhatikotiko, and' at 2.30 p.m, at Te Kara'ka, on Thursday, 12th December, 1912 ; dress, drill order; caps to be.worn.

Voluntary Parade.—A voluntary drill of “A” Squadron will he held at the Garrison Hall on Thursday, 12th December, 1912, at 7.30 p.m. This parade is to give members who have missed any parade since June (with leave or otherwise) an opportunity to make up their number. Instruction of Non-Commissioned Officers. —The non-com. officers of "A” Squadron will parade (dismounted) at the Garrison Hall at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, oth December, 1912Dress: Drill order, with arms. Promotion cf N.C.O.—Corporal A. C de Lautour to lie sergeant, dated 24/10/12. Sergeant de Lautour is appointed Troop Sergeant of No. 1 (Gisborne) Troop, vice Sergeant McLean, transferred to reserve.

Transfers.—Private W. W. Watton from 66 Company S.C. to <I A” Squadron Oth M.R. (posted to No. 4 Troop); Private F W. Peryor from 63 Company S.C. to “A” Squadron 9th M.R. (posted to No. Troop); Sergeant J. A. McLean from “A” Squadron to Reserve. REG I/MENTAL ORDERS.

Orderly Officer and Non-Commis-sioned Officers.—For the' month of December, 1912, Lieutenant C. RSprang, Sergeant P. A. Gordon, and Corporal G. A. Fromm: next for duty (January), Lieutenant H. MeLernon, Sergeant A. C. de Hauteur, and Corporal. Long. r Issue of Uniforms, etc.—Uniforms, arms, and equipment will be issued to those members of “A” Squadron who have not yet received same, at the voluntary parade on Thursday, l'-tn December, 1912.
